How MartiDerm Peru doubled its WhatsApp conversion with an AI sales agent
MartiDerm Peru sold skincare on WhatsApp, but only while its sales team was at work. We built an AI sales agent that answers in seconds, builds orders, takes payment, and alerts the warehouse at any hour. Now 22% of chats become orders, and half of sales come after hours.

The problem
MartiDerm Peru runs Meta ads that send shoppers to WhatsApp. There, a sales team answered questions and closed each sale by sending bank transfer details or a payment link.
The team worked 9 to 6, Monday to Friday. During office hours, replies took about ten minutes. After hours, a shopper waited until the next morning, or until Monday. At about 100 conversations and 10 orders a day, the team was at its limit, so the company held back on ads. More ads would only mean more chats nobody could answer, and they suspected they were already losing shoppers who buy at night and on weekends.
What we built
An AI sales agent on WhatsApp that sells the way the team does. It chats naturally, works out what the shopper needs, checks stock, and builds the order as the conversation goes. When the shopper is ready, it collects billing and shipping details and sends a payment link. Once the payment clears, it alerts the logistics team to ship the order.
It offers only in-stock products, speaks in the brand's voice, and sticks to skincare. If someone keeps pulling it off topic, it stops replying. The sales team sees every conversation in a dashboard and can take over any chat with one click. Built on Claude and connected to the company's SAP inventory, CRM, Izipay payments, and Outlook.
What changed
Replies went from ten minutes, or a whole night, to about ten seconds. The agent now handles more than 150 conversations a day, and over 200 at Christmas.
22% of those chats become orders, more than double the team's rate before. Nine in ten close without a person. The rest go to the team, mostly shoppers who need help with the payment link or have an issue with an earlier order. And half of the agent's sales come after hours: the sales the company suspected it was missing.
